OUR STORY
The Lindy Stick was created with camping enthusiasts in mind.
Our family truly enjoys sitting around the campfire. It is a great way for us to unwind from a busy day, talk about our dreams and aspirations, laugh a lot and even make a quick dinner. However, it seemed that every time we built a campfire, someone was looking for the long tree branch that could turn the logs and stir the fire. Once we found that coveted tree branch and used it, it wasn't long before that long tree branch somehow made it into the fire that night and we would be scouring around again looking for another long tree branch at our next fire.
This got pretty old after a while and talked with my husband about a getting a campfire poker. So, the hunt began. We visited quite a few stores and found that the ones in the stores didn't seem to meet our needs and expectations. It wasn't long enough, it didn't have a long enough handle, it wasn't strong enough, etc. Frustrated that we couldn't find what we wanted, we talked about what an ideal campfire poker would look like and the materials that would be used. It had to be long enough, incredibly strong with a good comfortable handle and most importantly it had to be a "manly" stick that my husband would be proud to use and to show off. With that in mind we got to work and creatively designed what The Lindy Stick should look like. After many design prototypes, we successfully created a handsome looking heavy-duty campfire poker.
That's not all, did you know that it can also be used as a cargo retriever? That's right! The Lindy Stick can also be used to retrieve your cargo. Having camped in travel trailers for more than 15 years, it has always been a struggle for me to reach stored cargo. Whether it be cargo located in the middle of the storage area of the travel trailer or in the front bed of the pickup truck, my arms never seemed to be long enough to grab it. The idea for it to be used as a cargo retriever came when we were camping and I had to reach for something in the back of the pickup truck. I couldn't reach it and I looked around for something to help pull the cargo toward me and saw The Lindy Stick sitting right there. It was long and had the hook on it and thought I will try this. Well, to my surprise, I was able to reach that cargo without issue. It was then we knew we had something truly special and unique.
After telling our family and friends about this concept and their overwhelming desire to have one, we decided to bring this concept to life. Whether it is spending time in front of the campfire with friends and family safely turning logs and stirring the fire or helping you retrieve that cargo that is just barely out of your reach, we hope you enjoy all the uses The Lindy Stick has to offer.
