What can you have customized on The Lindy Stick?

Many customers have had the last name of a person engraved onto The Lindy Stick.  However, since these can be personalized you can have fun engraving nicknames or fun sayings.  Anything personal that the person receiving it will appreciate.  We also have 1 creative design of a campfire that can be engraved on the stick as well.  Please refer to The Custom Lindy Stick to see the design.

 

Can I cook food using The Lindy Stick like other fire sticks?

The Lindy Stick is coated with Rust-Oleum High Heat Ceramic Coating and is not safe for food use.   Do not use The Lindy Stick to cook meat, marshmallows or any other food items.

 

How big is the Lindy Stick?

The Lindy Stick measures approximately 48” from top to bottom.  The oak handle is approximately 18” and the exposed rebar is approximately 30” weighing approximately 2lbs.

The Lindy Stick is made of an oak handle and rebar.  The exposed rebar measures approximately 30” and the oak handle measures approximately 18”.  There is also a 16" leather strap to allow you to hang The Lindy Stick for ease of storage.

 

How long does The Lindy Stick last?

The Lindy Stick is a well handcrafted campfire poker.  Keeping The Lindy Stick safe from adverse weather elements for extended periods of time will extend the life time of The Lindy Stick.  As with anything, with proper use and care, The Lindy Stick will last for years to come.

What are the dimensions of The Lindy Stick?

The Lindy Stick is approximately 48" in total length and approximately 2lbs.  Specifics include:

• Oak handle is approximately 18" and stained with a light walnut finish.

• Two (2) coats of polyurethane is added for extra protection.

• Rod is made of 3/8" rebar, grade 60, and is approximately 35" long.  Approximately 30" is exposed and 5 inches is hidden in the handle.

• The rod is also coated with a high gloss high temperature spray paint, up to 1200 degrees, to help keep it looking beautiful.   

• The welded hook is approximately 4" with a slight curve to help in grasping those items that need to be moved.   

• We have added a leather strap for storage ease, approximately 16" long.

• And for your protection, rubber end caps have been added to both rebar tips.

Will all The Lindy Sticks look the same?

Since these are individually handcrafted campfire pokers, each one will be unique.  Although we use oak for the handles, there will be variations in tone and color of each handle.  Each handle and engraving may be darker or lighter due to grain variations.  This is natural and which makes each of The Lindy Stick's its own unique work of art.
